Re: Bulbophyllum medusae

That's very nice ! This specie is really amazing. I think that mine is about to bloom too. I am getting more and more interested in Bulbophyllum genera. Flowers shapes are often very unusual and original and it is small plants, unlike my Vandas

Very interesting comment about the blooming time too. Do you know what is the reason of such differences in blooming season ?

Re: Bulbophyllum medusae

There are several reasons when blooming time in cultivation changes.
1. can be the fertilizer or the watering.
2. can be repotting or re-planting.
3. plant's disease from insects or bacteria
4. a new environment ( i have reconstructed my nursery, also changing the light conditions from 80% dimming to 70 % ).
Too bad, that plants cannot talk. Then we would know. But their language ist "reaction".
I have over 50 Bulbophyllum spezies from Thailand + one hybrid and + 1 spezies from Indonesia ( Bulbophyllum graveolens )
