Rhyncostylis coelestis

This species - epiphyte - can be found all over S.E. Asia. Flowering time between April and June
Stem reaches 16 cm to 25 cm, the length of the leaves ranges between10 and 15 cm, about 3cm to 5 cm wide. The inflorescence reaches between 17 and 24cm, carrying up to 50 flowers and more. Flowers are approx. 2 cm across, fragrant. Light blue sepals and petals with darker tips. Lip dark blue.

My third plant just finished in first place during a Chiangmai competition on May 30th.


it has grown 8 stikes, each carrying about 50 flowers.
