Aerides flabellata

This species has become rare in Thailand. Mine I got from the garden of a farmer, where he has grown it from seedlings.

The habitat of this plant can be found in the North and upper Northeast ( border to Laos ) of Thailand. It is also be found in Myanmar and S. China. Flowering time is between the month' of April and May. Flowers are about 2,5 cm wide and fragrant. Sepals and petals are brownish-yellow with purple spots. The lip is expanded at mid-lobe, white color with reddish-purple spots.
